Comments . . .

Yesterday I noticed that a couple of comments had been made that I somehow missed. First, I'd like to welcome (belatedly) Bob's sister, Mary (from Denver) to reading the blog!!!
Secondly, the following comment was made and I'd like to respond to that:

All I want to know is what the retired do on Valentine's Day? Once you retire does that mean all Holidays are optional?

Dear Anonymous,
Great question! I can't answer for ALL retirees, but Bob and I had a discussion about this and decided since Valentine's Day fell on a Saturday and we did not want to fight the crowds on that day, we would move "our" Valentine's Day to February 12 (Thursday). We went out for a lovely dinner at a wonderful restaurant that was only moderately busy. So actually, holidays are NOT optional at all but retirement gives you the power to move any holiday to work better in your (so very, very busy retired) schedule!!!
