What about Tyler???

As any parent knows, it is always best to treat all your children equally. First there was a blog posting about Matt on his birthday. Two days later, there was one about Lauren on her birthday. And then yesterday there was one about Ben and his graduation and new job.
After all that, I'm sure Tyler is probably thinking, "What about me?"
So, although I have mentioned it previously (in a blog posting that wasn't TOTALLY about Ty -- remember "equal time") I would like to mention again that Tyler is studying abroad this semester -- taking 15 credits and immersing himself in the Czech language and culture. He is also occasionally (slow internet) blogging about his travels -- here is the link: Ty's Prague Blog

Although he is based in Prague, Czech Republic, since he only has classes Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, he has plenty of long four day weekends to travel around Europe. Luckily air fare and train fees are pretty reasonable (since he didn't win the $10,000 prize from that big Rose Bowl video tournament he was in, in Pasadena, on New Year's Day) and since it seems about half of the college students Ty knows are also studying abroad somewhere in Europe this semester, he has numerous friends with whom he must meet up and places to visit. His girlfriend, Kelly, is studying in Florence. She came to see Prague recently with several of her friends -- enjoyed the "fairytale" quality of the city but did NOT like the food. What can you expect? After all we have MANY Italian restaurants in the USA but how many Czech restaurants can you name???

Although I can't remember all the details of his travel plans (he does list some of his plans on his blog), I do know that he is meeting about 10 of his Wisconsin friends in Ireland for St. Patrick's Day. Should be great fun!

With the exception of the first two photos, the pictures posted here today were taken by Ty in Prague -- I borrowed them from his Snapfish account

.
On Ty's Snapfish account, next to this picture he writes, "The astronomical Clock. It has a very interesting history and I recommend searching it on Wikipedia." He makes YOU do the work!
