How Did We Ever Manage 4 Kids?

This morning as we prepared for our basic 3 mile morning walk with the dogs, Bailey RAN AWAY FROM HOME!!!

As I am always a few minutes behind Bob in getting ready for the walk, he usually heads outside to the courtyard with Sparky and Bailey so they can sniff the air and generally just take their "walk excitement" outside. Here is the courtyard area:

Although Bob was right there with them?!?

Bailey is quick.

And tiny.

When I came out and picked up Bailey's leash to put it on her . . . she was nowhere to be found in the courtyard.

Looked behind the fireplace, etc.

And then, an Oprah "lightbulb moment"!

She is pretty small and the gate is just bars!!!

Yes. She just walked through the gate!!!

And was about 10 houses down the block!!!

With a landscaper.

And a lady who'd been jogging.

Although she was really, really torn about it -- looking at me madly running down the block toward her and then back at her new friends -- she did stop and wait for me to catch up. Some dogs might have continued running!!!

Sparky is appalled by her behavior.

And Sparky wishes she was much thinner.

Thin enough to fit through a gate . . .

Bob and I are off to golf this afternoon at Trilogy. We get a great price since somehow after talking to Bob the first week we were here, the guy thinks we are residents of the Trilogy complex???

Also, Monday we golfed the PGA West Norman Course and I was at 37 with two holes to go . . .

That's all I'm saying.
